Frannie the Foodie

The Misson
Frannie the Foodie was started out of pure love for food. I was disappointed in going to multiple restaurants that were referred or highly publicized just to be underwhelmed. My family & friends began to urge me to write about my experiences so that others could have a different perspective than what’s out there. My goal as a foodie/food critic is to bring awareness not only to guest but the restaurant owners. I want be able to enhance the culinary experience for everyone involved.
Hi, I'm Frannie, Frannie the Foodie
My love for food began at a young age and continued to develop as I got older and was exposed to different foods. I thank my mother for my first encounters with food from different ethnic backgrounds—West African and Filipino especially—as a child. It was her and my Gran who demonstrated for me that love can be shown through food—creating meals that brought us all to the dinner table as a family.
When it comes to food, I’d consider myself a supertaster (able to taste many flavors at once), which allows me to give a thorough take on what I’ve eaten.
I believe that as a food critic it is important for me to be honest at the base, however respectful as well. When you read one of my posts, it is my job to paint as clear a picture as I can so that you can formulate your own perspective.
In addition to being a foodie, I’m a social worker, and sometimes the two personalities mingle together. Ultimately, I aspire to curate events that bring individuals together with food at the center.
